Project Aim

I plan to create a four track EP influenced by the record label Def Jam. Each track will be based around a producer’s work with an artist signed to Def Jam. The tracks will be a homage to the producer’s techniques and their workflow. The producers are Rick Rubin,Mike Dean,Jeff Ellis and Young Guru.

Project Objectives

• Research my chosen producers and apply their production techniques to my audio project
• Use a DAW such as Fruity Loops to create four different instrumentals
• Track vocalists/rappers onto the four instrumentals
• Mix and master the four tracks
